Waterfall mountain elopement in Assynt, Scotland | Shannon & Ellison

There are parts of Scotland that never fail to take my breath away, and Assynt is one of those areas. The unpredictable weather, striking mountains and rushing waterfalls make this area feel so wildly beautiful. Shannon & Ellison envisioned a day that felt off the beaten track, wild but peaceful and away from the crowds, and felt drawn to the rugged landscapes of Assynt to fulfil their vision. Preferring the cooler weather, they chose late September with the vibrant Autumnal hues also taking over the landscape. Shannon & Ellison got ready at Kylesku Lodges, which are located near a variety of stunning locations in the area, and each lodge has an incredible view of the mountains and water. The talented Bonny's Wonderland did Shannon's hair and makeup before heading off for their ceremony by the loch with Onie Tibbitt (who happened to be the celebrant my own elopement as well!). Libby from Hands full of Flowers is a local talent who crafted their flowers for the day.
