Dunkeld Perthshire Wedding | Matt & Alex
About an hour from Edinburgh is the charming town of Dunkeld, known for its artisan cuisine, beautiful nature, and warm hospitality. Matt & Alex have many memories and so much love for this town that they decided it was the perfect place to elope. Having been together for over a decade, Matt & Alex had devised a few plans for getting married, but nothing had felt right until they started their plans for eloping.
Being lovers of good food and coffee, they started the day at the local favourite, Aran Bakery. They then took their dog for a walk around the town and the River Tay, which they would often do together when visiting the area.
Their ceremony took place in a secluded location in the nearby woodland. We felt hidden from the world for a short while, embraced by the tall trees around us. The lovely Hazel Jane led Matt and Alex's heartfelt ceremony, which left everyone in tears.
The November days here in Scotland are some of the shortest of the year, so the light began to fade into darkness by late afternoon. We spent the last hour walking along the river bank, appreciating the serenity and late Autumn landscape around us.
Once you witness a love like Matt and Alex's, it really stays with you. From their beautifully written vows, the meaningful locations they chose for the day, and their laughter and smiles, it was such a joy to document their day in the special area of Perthshire.
